These smoothies were so much fun to make and I felt like Willy Wonka in the kitchen. Blending fresh fruits with superfoods and great fats make them look like a treat and work like a charm . My daughter was so delighted she called them ‘Somewhere Over The Rainbow Smoothies”. A true endorsement.

I look forward to experimenting and inventing new layers, and have just completed today’s kitchen alchemy with a version that I have frozen as icy poles.

3 Layered Smoothie

The key is to make each blend thick enough that it wont run into the next during layering.

  • Bottom layer – frozen berries, gogi berries, coconut milk, banana
  • Middle layer fresh apricots, banana, yoghurt, sunflower seeds, flax seed oil 
  • Top Layercoconut milk, date, chia seeds, hemp seeds, cacao, banana.
