Children’s Yoga

The Livewell Playground takes a unique approach to children’s yoga, delivering an inspiring and dynamic class that educates and stretches young minds and bodies.

Michelle Seelig has 25 years experience teaching movement to children. She is a Level 2 qualified yoga instructor who also has a B Ed in Dance and a Masters in Art Therapy. She combines her skills and insights to deliver a creative class that encourages your child to explore the benefits and principles of yoga in a fun, non-competitive environment. A new theme is explored each term through art, music and movement.

Children learn yoga through games and creative play whilst using their imagination. By combining dynamic movement, quiet postures, breathing exercises and meditation each child comes away with a holistic yogic experience. The focus is on fun and respecting our bodies as well as each other.

“The class is fantastic. Michelle does a fabulous job. My child likes the poses and is starting to find it easier to concentrate during the quiet parts of the class, and they are her favourite part.”

Jacqui T.

“Since starting yoga with Michelle my child has become more centred, and areas of her learning have fallen into place. I am thrilled with the outcome.”

“My daughter talks about things covered in the class at home. The themes stay with her and she practices the poses. Michelle is a great teacher and makes a lasting impression on the kids.”

Catharine B.

“My daughter is so motivated and excited to come to class each week. She loves the group games and the meditation. She finds it relaxing and non-confronting, and gets to sleep particularly well after the class.”
