Mindfulness  Meditation
Mindfulness is about waking up, connecting with ourselves, and appreciating the fullness of each moment of life. Jon Kabat-Zinn calls it, “the art of conscious living.” It is a profound way to enhance psychological and emotional resilience, and increase life satisfaction. It involves intentionally bringing one’s attention to the internal and external experiences occurring in the present moment, and there are many different ways to practice. Sitting in meditation is just one type of practice, but we know from current mindfulness literature that informal ways of practicing mindfulness skills have equally effective outcomes.

Mindfulness training has emerged as a powerful for enhancing mental health. It is empirically supported as an effective intervention in addressing stress, chronic pain, anxiety, depression and disordered eating.
